Omar Anderson!
Words By Raymond Tyler
Omar Anderson was a man that loved life and loved helping people in his hometown of Atlantic City.
Anderson along with his younger brother Abdullah opened a barber shop in the heart of the city. One could say that with no time...Omar and Abdullah's Hair Bazaar truly became recognized as "the heart of the city."
As it as been stated in many a urban lore...the barber shop is a place where men of color feel they can discuss anything in relative safety.
So it can be said that Omar made sure that his shop was a place where men and boys got more than just great hair cuts.
Omar dished out advice when asked for and offered his opinion even when no opinion was asked for. More than that...Omar Anderson offered love...from his barber chair all the way out to the people in the community ...by sponsoring community activities and opening his shop for more than just hair cuts.
Mr. Anderson is truly missed here in AC but his legacy continues on.
His mother Audrey Hart has made sure that the AC Community will still be given help in Omar's name with the 2013 Sneaker Campaign.
From Miss Audrey's Human Connection
